I wrote this book for many reasons:
1) I was witness and consultant to many sad cases of fraud and deception against friends who went to dentists for treatment including one who is a handicapped and other who is a pastor.
2) I went undercover and discovered that corruption was inherent in some offices as they tried to charge me hundreds of dollars for a deep cleaning by showing me false boney pockets on x-rays when all I needed was a regular cleaning. Deep cleanings, overuse of crowns, tooth-colored fillings and even implants amount to a billion-dollar market that has distorted the meaning of ethical treatment. Dentists and hygienists now make more than General physicians and RN’s. A neo-natal RN who must work odd hours and has higher malpractice insurance makes $3 less per hour than a hygienist!
3) I have suffered Strep throat since I was a teenager and almost died from Strep. Recently when I sensed strep coming from a hacking dry cough, I turned to a whole new concept and instead of my taking penicillin (antibiotics have to be digested, absorbed in the intestines and then carried back to the head where they diffuse to the outer layers of tissue where the bacteria is causing the inflammation) I mixed some xylitol with saline and water and squirted it into my mouth. In just a day the inflammation and dry cough was relieved. This is direct deactivation of the bad bacteria without the dangers of antibiotics
4) I have always been an innovator and artist. I have lived in 6 nations and have done mission-field dentistry for many years among indigenous groups in many countries. 25 years ago I accidentally developed a repair material that I trade-marked as “Rescue & Restore”-which saved many teeth in remote areas. Now there is a new material not known here in America that can destroy decay without a needle nor a drill and works like a “silver bullet” killing just the bad bacteria as it spreads layer by layer throughout the decayed area. It has been kept out of the American market by the FDA only because of fears related to the old Thalidomide scare. This book will open the eyes of many people as it knocks down barriers of bias, fear, ignorance, myth making, and outright prejudice.
