As a church goer do you feel that the average person in your circle has a healthy diet? Do you understand nutrition and the value of good foods?

There are many attributes that characterize healthy food substances.  Obviously the more natural the better and the less acidic the better.  Our mouth has the structure and chemistry to measure the value of these molecules.  Those that cause inflammation and decay in the mouth will tend to cause problems for the rest of the body.  Those that feed bad bacteria or yeast in the mouth will feed bad bacteria and yeast in the gut.  Those that generate a healthy saliva, or a non-acidic saliva will tend to benefit the gut and the colon.  Another less talked about good attribute is symmetry in the structure of the molecule.  Our bodies are naturally symmetrical from left to right and likewise the molecule of xylitol is perfectly symmetrical left to right.  Unlike stevia which is not symmetrical yet has the same number of carbon atoms, xylitol is produced and stored in the mitochondria of all our cells and serves to inactivate bad bacteria when consumed in foods.  Stevia has no positive healing ability and may cause hormonal and intestinal problems.  It is also much sweeter than xylitol and can both harm the kidney and affect blood pressure.  Unlike xylitol you cannot cook with it and the FDA will not allow it in processed foods.

Xylitol is natural in strawberries, raspberries, plums, cauliflower, mushrooms and in corn cobs. Xylitol’s by-products help to protect the colon and when absorbed in the blood stream it protects both the host body and the fetus of a pregnant woman.  Finnish studies indicate that it inoculates the newborn baby and protects it from tooth decay up to age of 5.   Its symmetry allows it to repair bone and tooth enamel by transporting calcium ions.  Molecular symmetry apparently also gives it the ability to draw fluids to it, in a hypertonic or hydroscopic way, thus helping to heal tissue linings in the body by washing away toxins, salts and bacteria.  This includes stopping constipation in the colon, helping to heal airway linings, the lining of the middle ear and the nasopharyngeal passages.

So, the BIG question is why does it take up so much shelf space in all the major grocery stores whereas xylitol is given NO space is not offered as a healthy sugar substitute?  Is it because the sugar cartel is afraid of it or is it just the profit motive?

These questions need to be confronted.  Why? Because the lives of people are at stake. Many people have been given bad information or have an unhealthy diet, body morphology or dental condition that will catch up with them.  And because our nation is literally manufacturing food and disease.  We eat processed cereals for breakfast, processed fast food for lunch or dinner and processed snacks throughout the day.  These foods are often full of High Fructose Corn Syrup, colorings, canola oil, modifiers, preservatives and/or salts.  The most common element is HFCS which is designed to stimulate your cravings even when you are not hungry.  To feed our addiction companies each year introduce over 14,000 new processed foods, all of which are carefully processed in labs for maximum profit.

At one time we blamed all our problems on fats. So is sugar and fructose to blame or is it bad fats?  Sugar is very good at attacking every part of the body and it begins in the mouth.  The mouth acts like a barometer providing evidence of unhealthy conditions and therefore, has been the focus of many extensive studies.  We now know that the health of the mouth is key to the health of the body.  Many hospitals and doctors now require a clearance from a dentist concerning the condition of the gums.  Why?  Because gum disease has been linked to infections of joints, heart vessels and other organs.  This is one reason why my new book is called Dentistry Xposed: Protecting You, Your Smile, and Your Wallet.  Natural fats have been shown to be essential for healthy bodies and as you will soon see one natural sugar actually works as a medicine.

Even noble institutions like the church are bloated and their leaders are unmindful of how to help the body.   In this instance the “body” represents both their bodies and the BODY of the church.  Little has been done to help the since I established a ministry called, “CHRIST HEALTH” or Christians Helping Restore, Inspire, Support & Teach Health.  Marlan Mattox invited me on his radio show where I was able to share on the dangers of sugar and High Fructose Corn Syrup.  In the 70’s, Nixon instituted a program to decrease the cost of food.  Fructose corn syrup was so cheap it became the solution. At the same time the sugar cartel was using research to convince people that it was fat not sugar that was causing heart disease and other problems.  So fat was removed and to keep food tasty it became convenient to add the HFCS to processed foods including meats. Now almost all foods have been laced with what one of America’s top endocrinologists calls a poisonous sugar. This poison has the ability to quickly estabish addictions. Dopamine in the brain is released and leptins which stimulate the sensation of being full are suppressed. It is the perfect sugar to draw people into addictive behavior.

Since the 70’s the nation has developed the largest per capita ratio of diabetic patients in what is called the “First World” of economies.  Despite all our high technology and massive expenditures in healthcare, we do not compare well with little Finland. After sixty-one years of research Finland knows the value of a simple sugar that fights bacteria and does not harm the liver, pancreas, heart, teeth or other tissue.  This sugar, called xylitol, is stored in the mitochondria of human cells and is metabolized to form the short-chain fatty acid butyrate which protects the lining of the colon.  Unfortunately, xylitol was introduced into our nation at the same time that High Fructose Corn Syrup was being promoted by both the politicians and the economists. Because xylitol was more expensive and came from abroad, the policy makers immediately nixed its promotion and use in our food supplies. Xylitol was suppressed even though many doctors and scientists knew it had healing powers.

The favored sugar, HFCS, was cheaply produced and was widely supported by the corn farmers of America. However, over time we have discovered that this highly reactive form of fructose destroys the liver and organs throughout the body by producing AGE’s or accumulated glycation end-products. It has become a huge industry and involves candies too.  Just during this last Halloween, it was estimated that the sugar industry made and delivered 2.4 billion dollars’ worth of candies and other sugar products to the mouths of our children and eager adults.  These 6-carbon sugars destroy cells and cause obesity. This may have been the worst mistake that America ever made.

Unfortunately, our leaders and pastors promote the intake of sugar with donuts and other super sweet treats. We reward children with sugar.  In my church we did stop serving coffee and instituted orange juice which is not the best solution.  Orange juice is not only an acid but is also very sweet.  To use sugar as a marketing tool is especially egregious.  Good examples of this is when the church gives away thousands of free “Cracker Jack” boxes or “Easter Marshmallow’s.”

There is hope, however.   Even though many of us have put our GI tract, colon and liver under great harm, we can still affect change.  There is Great Reward in breaking food, alcohol, and drug addictions. It takes education and awareness. This is one very good reason for this book.   Every sector of society including the church needs to wake up and realize the damage a bad diet does to themselves and their family; then stop fattening and poisoning their bodies with snacks and other fructose equivalents. Seek natural alternatives to those super-sweet deserts and empty calories.  There is nothing wrong with a desert during a meal, however, when we stoke-up-the-body with excessive calories to satisfy a deep desire, then we have encroached upon the true meaning of gluttony.

Dentistry Xposed goes into detail about these and other pitfalls, falsehoods, and misunderstandings.  The BATTLE IS both Mental & Spiritual and requires a pro-active solution with good support, inspiration, teaching & restoration.  Like smoking there is more than a chemical stimulation involved. Sitting in front of a TV is part of the reward system that motivates us to move the arms, fingers and mouth closer to the poisons.   Are you up to the task? Read my paper on Xylitol.   For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light
