THE NATURALLY PRODUCED MOLECULE IS STORED IN NEXT TO YOUR DNA AND RNA IN THE MITOCHONDRIA OF EVERY CELL. CONSUMING IT INSTEAD OF THE POPULAR 6-CARBON SUGARS OR THE SUGAR SUBSTITUTES WILL SAVE YOU LIFE AS IT DID MINE.
Xylitol, clove oil, and activated chlorine dioxide are not profit makers for large dental and medical retail corporations. Thus, most research done on the effectiveness of xylitol in combating chronic inflammation, sinus and ear infections and wound healing is being done in other countries. Research in Japan and China is showing that xylitol can prevent or heal some cancers and the flu. Research in Canada shows it improves bone density and therefore can strengthen the bone. Studies in Finland spanning many decades show that giving children xylitol gum three times per day- morning, lunch, and dinner – can greatly diminish the formation of tooth decay in children. The Finnish study has been going on for over 60 years with thousands of children and adults and this is one of the most extensive scientific studies ever done in the world. This socialist-run system kept careful records on everyone taking xylitol. Xylitol tastes good and is easy to dispense and blend in raw and cooked foods. It is easy to motivate people to use it on a regular basis- and the health benefits are extensive. It crosses the placenta barrier and thus will help protect a baby’s health.
Extensive Finnish studies of high-risk pregnant women found a profound decrease of decayed teeth in both mothers and their newborn children up to the age of five. The mothers chewed xylitol gum 3 times per day before and after their pregnancy. The scientists discovered there was a decrease in transmission from mother to child of a key bacterium causing tooth decay. In these studies, Finnish scientists discovered there was also a 42% decrease in ear infections. Again, these studies involve a large sampling of people over decades since World War II. Have you heard about these discoveries? This miracle molecule protects the placenta and amniotic fluid from bacterial infiltration. It also crosses tissue barriers to prevent ear and nasopharyngeal infections. These studies were of interest to Dr. A. H. “Lon” Jones MD, a rural doctor who tried xylitol on his kids and patients both as a preventive solution and to treat sinusitis and many other ailments. Unlike the Finnish study, he mixed it with water and used it as an external spray application, and It worked so well even adults with chronic rhinosinusitis and kids with middle ear infections were effectively healed. I used it to heal my chronic dry cough & strep throat. It is effective in helping to control diabetes, weight gain, intra-ocular pressures as a preventative to glaucoma, and in the healing of chronic wounds. The only reason why you may not know about this is because of the powerful sugar and corn syrup industry.
Apparently, there is hardly any downside to its use. It is cheap in granular form; however, the retail mints or gum will cost more. Studies show chewing gums with a mix of sorbitol and xylitol also reduce decay significantly. Trident gum is a good example. A gentle spray of xylitol can maintain the health and native immunity of both nasal and oral mucosa. Unlike nasal flushes which have become so popular, this solution does not remove the good mucosal layer. There is less danger of introducing dangerous bacteria into dried-out nasal passages and creating mucositis or life-threatening infections. Some people are adding xylitol to their nasal rinses for added protection. Overconsumption can cause a loosened bowel movement but for most people, it is effective in stopping constipation. Just do not take too much too quickly.
Xylitol can help those who have dryness issues in the mouth related to everything from mouth breathing to the use of certain medicines. Xylitol stimulates the production of saliva and the body’s natural washing of the nasal passages. This dilutes any acids and washes away bad bacteria. It inactivates bad bacteria and protects the good bacteria around teeth, gums, and sinuses. Xylitol allows the good bacteria and film layer to be maintained. It is a symmetrical molecule and thus can fold or carry a calcium ion where needed. Other sugars and substitutes do not have this attribute. This is probably the key to its bio-organic benefit to the human body.
Physiologically xylitol works against bacteria in two powerful ways. 1) It detaches bad bacteria from mucosal and tooth surfaces preventing them from attacking vulnerable tissue cells directly. Because it is hygroscopic or hypertonic it washes away acids. 2) When the bad bacteria consume this 5-carbon sugar alcohol they cannot metabolize its molecular structure. Bacteria such as Strep mutans and Strep pneumoniae are effectively disabled and cannot multiply nor produce acids; and thus, acid levels drop, and the inflammation goes away. The bacteria detach from the inflamed or decalcified surface and are washed away by the increased fluid flow.
It may surprise you to know that Xylitol is the only sugar naturally produced in the body. Every cell in your body stores xylitol in the mitochondria. Ribose, a central component of RNA and DNA, is a 5-carbon sugar like xylitol. It is a closed chain whereas xylitol is an open chain. This and the fact that xylitol helps to strengthen bone may explain why xylitol is so cell-friendly. It flows freely throughout the body passing through tissue, placenta and bone barriers while causing no harm. So why is it taking so long for the medical and dental communities to recognize this amazing molecule? It seems to be well known in many other countries and is frequently used in hospitals by nurses. Doctors need to understand that xylitol is better than any other sugar or sugar substitute. We must acknowledge research showing how some sugar substitutes are harmful. The only contra-indication posted on xylitol is its tendency to create loose stools and therefore a warning is posted to stop its use if diarrhea occurs. This can happen to people who have had part of their colon removed or who have chronic diarrhea for other reasons.
We have an ample supply of xylitol since it is being harvested from discarded corn cobs. We are blessed to have this natural “waste product” as an easy source for xylitol and a great weapon to counter the deadly effects of 6-carbon sugars? One of those bad effects is the disabling disease of diabetes. Xylitol has an extremely low glycemic index and therefore will help the diabetic maintain stable blood sugar and insulin levels. The present sugar substitute often recommended for diabetics is sucralose (Splenda) which is a non-nutritive sweetener, meaning it provides no dietary calories. It is considered a high-intensity sugar which is hundreds of times sweeter than sugar. However, sucralose is made by replacing three natural carbon to hydrogen and oxygen bonds with three chlorine atomic bonds. This altered molecule is now a chlorocarbon which is in the same family as some pesticides. You can read more about these and other controversies on the blog site provided for this book at DentistryXposed.com. Know this Xylitol is a symmetrical sugar so it can fold and carry the Calcium ion to both bone and teeth for remineralization.
Again, you should be asking why we have not heard about the benefits of chewing xylitol gum and mints or spraying the nose with a xylitol mist? For some reason, corporate America does not use xylitol in major brands of toothpaste and mouth rinse and therefore does little research on it. The great majority of large grocers do not carry xylitol gum, mints nor sweeteners yet they devote a wide space to Stevia, Splenda, and Sweet-n-low. In preparing for this book not a single doctor who conversed with Dr. Hofmann knew anything about the power of Xylitol. Nurses he spoke to said they used it in the hospital for treating dry coughs. This may be explained by the fact the nurses are more involved in the day-to-day care of patients whereas doctors acting as overseers may be too distracted to learn from them. Dr. Hofmann is not surprised by this failure since he made the mistake years ago of buying some spray which he then left unused and unsold in his cabinet. The logic of using sugar to heal problems caused by sugar does not register easily in one’s mind. He now calls xylitol a “miracle molecule” and uses it on a regular basis as a mint, chewing gum, and spray. Amazingly, it stimulates the flow of liquids: saliva in the mouth, the dilution of phlegm or mucus in the nasal passages, and the softening of stools in the colon. Its antibacterial, anti-Candida, anti-inflammation and fluid flow properties also help prevent throat and esophageal infections, and colon cancer.
More on Xylitol physiology: Being both hygroscopic and hypertonic xylitol pulls fluids towards it. In loose stools, it liquifies heavy nasal congestion (phlegm), stimulates the flow of airway lining fluids and saliva, and works throughout the body to remove toxins and neutralize bad bacteria. In the colon, it is broken down and becomes butyrate which protects the colon lining from cancer much like eating fiber does. It can also work against the yeast, Candida Albicans, which has been linked to cancer. Research shows that Xylitol helps with wound healing and the healing of connective tissue-bone injuries such as strains and soreness. It works to help control periodontal disease and other chronic inflammations such as arthritis and gout. There is research showing that it helps treat patients with cystic fibrosis and postpartum depression; which raises the question -can it help heal other brain-related pathology? God gave us this super-natural sugar for a reason- yet we have promoted the disease-causing sugars for generations. We can turn back diabetes, colon cancer, and many other diseases with effective use of this simple yet powerful healing molecule. It is found naturally in strawberries, mushrooms, cauliflower, and raspberries and can be bought as a mint or raw sugar at nutrition and grocery stores.
